Itinerary
You’ve Arrived
For a more relaxing arrival experience, a representative will greet you at the arrival flight gate, accompanied by a luggage porter with buggy cars. Enjoy Prime Class Arrival Lounge refreshments then proceed through immigration via dedicated Fast Track counters with your assistant. The visa can either be arranged online or paid for at the airport separately and your assistant will facilitate the visa processing. Your luggage will be collected by your personal assistant and porter. Exit the airport terminal accompanied by your personal assistant and porter to meet with your private driver.

Your afternoon starts with a drive to the Grand Mosque for a photo opportunity accompanied by a private vehicle and a driver-guide. The mosque is beautiful by night, as it is illuminated from all sides with floor spot lights and the grandeur of its architectural genius truly comes alive. From here, you will continue on to the Corniche which fringes the old Muscat town – better known as Muttrah. The Corniche is near the main Mina Al Sultan Qaboos port of Oman and the Muttrah Souk. A short halt will allow you to visit the souk (market) and purchase some typical Oman souvenirs. Visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum which is one of the most informative museums in Oman and focuses mainly on the traditional culture and lifestyle of the people of the Sultanate. From here travel on to see the Sultan’s Palace and the two forts Jalali and Mirani which guard it. Afterwards return to your hotel.

The Adventure Begins
You will be picked up from your hotel by a private vehicle and an English speaking driver-guide for a full day tour. Visit Nizwa souq and fort which has been strategically built atop a hill overlooking the ancient villages with its colorful domes and bustling market below. Continue to drive in a 4WD towards Jabal Akhdar, or Green Mountain in Arabic (2800 M above sea level). Next stop is Wadi Bani Habib, a stunning dry-river bed, scattered with glimmering turquoise pools stretching about 20-30 km. The wadi skirts beautiful villages with their terrace farming fields. Then, proceed on to the peak of the green mountain, where you may enjoy the breathtaking view from the top. You will also stop at the Jabal Akhdar hotel for tea or Omani coffee and some light refreshments (not included). Afterwards, you will return to your hotel.
Get a Lay of the Land
Enjoy an exhilarating round of “dune bashing” in a four-wheel drive vehicle accompanied by a driver-guide. Wahiba Sands is a vast mass of undulating red and white sand dunes rising up to 200 meters and stretching as far as the eye can see. It is also host to a large variety of flora and fauna and ever-changing patterns of dunes, a photographer’s delight! The sands are the traditional homes of the nomads and the Bedouins. It is common to see them moving through the desert with their camels. During your trip through the desert stop and visit a Bedouin home. A picnic lunch box will be provided to be savored in the desert. In sharp contrast to this is Wadi Bani Khalid, a beautiful Wadi indeed. The wadi has clear deep blue waters, where the shade of the palm trees are inviting for a relaxing siesta! Catch a glimpse of the pretty villages scattered all over the Wadi Bani Khalid as they cling precariously to the slopes of the rugged mountain-side (Please bring along your swimwear, the clear waters of the Wadi are very inviting! Also please note that light clothing and walking shoes may be more suitable on this trip).
