Scuba Diving and Instruction
The Turks and Caicos are world known as a diver’s mecca. Surrounded by the third largest coral reef system in the world, the still pristine dive sites feature bountiful and diverse fish populations, frequent “big stuff’ sightings – stingrays, turtles, dolphins, even whales in season (December-March) – and dramatic wall dives and coral formations. Dive sites are as close as a ten minute boat ride, and day trips are available to some of the popular further out sites in West Caicos, Northwest Point, French Cay and Pine Cay. Royal West Indies has partnered with one of the island’s premier dive operators, Dive Provo. Featuring large comfortable boats and service-minded staff, Dive Provo is the ideal choice for divers of any level. Full PADI certification courses and resort courses are also available.

Snorkeling
Snorkel trips can be arranged through the tour desk, with half day boat tours to some of the most vibrant spots on the reef. All equipment, drinks and snacks are included. Great snorkeling is also available from shore, at points about a 15 minute walk down the beach from the hotel (at Coral Gardens and Smith’s Reef).

More Water Activities Available
– For a truly luxury experience, try a trip on ‘Anchors Aweigh’, a 40-foot luxury catamaran available for charter from Kenard Cruises.
– Fishermen of all skills will find the Turks and Caicos a challenging and rewarding experience. Deep sea charters troll outside the reef for marlin, sailfish, wahoo, tuna and other big game. Reef fishing tours are also available to try for grouper, snapper and other good eating fish. And, the wide expanse of shallow flats are the perfect hiding grounds for the elusive bonefish, a challenging and fun fly fishing experience for anglers to enjoy with expert guides.

– Waterskiing and wake board boat rentals are available through Nautique Sports. The outfit also offers instruction and equipment rental.
– Windsurfing and kite boarding are popular activities in the Turks and Caicos, and there are several rental and instruction services available.

Designed by Karl Litton and set up for low handicappers and duffers alike to enjoy, the course features a relaxing restaurant and bar overlooking the 18th green, a well stocked pro shop, three on-site professionals available for private or group lessons, equipment rentals, driving range and putting areas. The golf facility also offers tennis courts and instruction. Several other tennis courts are available within a short distance of the Royal West Indies.
