La Feria de Cordoba

The Spanish love their festivals- nearly every province, city and village has at least one, and most have several through out the course of the year. After our chilly European Spring Break in March, we decided a warmer time of the year was in order, which brought us to La Feria de Cordoba the last week of May! Officially known as Our Lady of Health Feria, Cordoba’s fair has been around since 1284, and is similar to Seville’s April Fair, with one notable exception. You don’t have to wrangle an invitation to enter the numerous little casetas (tents) offering music, dancing and yummy local foods. Everyone’s invited, entry is free and the party lasts until the wee hours of the morning.
